During the late seventies, a group of yellow cab drivers met and exchanged stories of various experiences they encountered. Through this shared information it was clear concerns over the future of their “industry” were well founded.

Personal safety and providing complete coverage to corporations and travelers in New York City and the metropolitan Tri-State area were quickly becoming issues.

These professionals noted that corporate America was beginning to extend the normal workday beyond the traditional nine to five.

They knew this would impact many individuals that would require a mode of transportation during off peak hours unavailable through mass transit.

The idea to provide those customers with a dependable, reliable and safe alternative resulted in the creation of the black car industry, thus Skyline Credit Ride, Inc. was formed.
